ESMV The director of a particular area of research for human and animal trypanosomiasis.
Before his appointment November 29, 2007 at the head of the School of Veterinary Science and Medicine (ESMV) University of Ngaoundere, Prof. André Zoli Pagnah was Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Science Agricultural University of Dschang, a position he held for 4 years. So a man steeped in experience and talent that scholarship and dedication have propelled to the top of the newest of the great schools of the University of Ngaoundere which is gradually emerging from the baptismal font. Professor Zoli Pagnah was born in 1956 in Boboyo, Department of the Mayo Kani region of the Far North. After his primary education in Boboyo he joined CEG in 1967 where he obtained Kaélé PEBC in 1971 and the Maroua High School where he passed the BA C in 1974. With a grant from the Government of Cameroon and the Belgian government, he continued his studies at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Liege (Belgium) where he obtained the Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1981.
The same year he joined the Institute of Tropical Medicine Prince Leopold of Antwerp where he graduated in 1982 with the diploma of tropical animal husbandry and veterinary medicine. In 1986, thanks to a new Belgian government scholarship, he returned to the University of Liege where he prepares a special PhD in veterinary science (specializing in reproductive physiology) argues that in March 1993. In 1995, he obtained in the same University the Aggregation of Higher Education in veterinary science. From 1995 to 1996, Prof. André Zoli Pagnah was hired as a researcher on behalf of the European Union in the Department of Animal Physiology of the National Research Institute Agronomique (INRA), Jouy center-En-Josas, Paris (France). He worked on tubal proteins (growth factors) and placental domestic ruminants. When Professor Zoli Pagnah returned to Cameroon in October 1982, it is directly integrated in the public service and takes the Ministry of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries (MINEPIA). In January 1983 he was seconded as an assistant at the Institute of Agricultural Technology (Ita) University Centre of Dschang.
He achieved the rank of lecturer in 1987, lecturer October 10, 2000, and is Full Professor since November 30, 2007. It was Dean, Fasa University of Dschang, 16 September 2003 to November 29, 2007, when he was appointed Director of ESMV University of Ngaoundere. Mr. Zoly Pagnah is author or co-authored more than forty publications in national and international scientific journals. He has supervised twenty dissertations studies of agricultural engineers and masters degree in biology, co-supervised 8 PhD thesis of M. Sc. and three PhD theses. He was a member of American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and the Society for the Study of Reproduction (SSR). His research areas are: parasitic zoonoses, animal trypanosomiasis and human physiology and reproductive endocrinology.
