Manenguba

Some pictures of our hike at Mount Manenguba, about 3 hours drive from Douala.
Departure Saturday morning towards the villa firefly (inn organizes hiking, etc..) And the beginning of the hike for 4h to 13h of ascent. Returning early Sunday afternoon.
Saturday night we opted for a night near the lakes with meals made by our guide at the campfire. Note that it carried a bucket for 4 hours with our cutlery, plates, pots ,...! Aps and I think having seen or sweat or breathe! Photos

road to go to the villa firefly

Arrival at the villa firefly ... The setting is just too good! In fact it is a hotel and you sleep in boucarous but I think this is the program for another weekend hikes with a horse!

E, full preparation for our hike ... Ok we just drank a beer before you go! Super athletes!

These are people who we kept the car over the weekend in a village

Parking Guest!

small lunch in the village of a tribe (the "Fulani") . People were friendly enough but it was difficult to speak with them because they spoke neither English or french (or approximately).
During this break I attended the burn-fastest in the history of chips! Mathilde gave a packet of crisps for the village children and they just throw it and have devoured in 2 seconds!

Mount Manenguba

This is in the forest, we feel that these steps were done on purpose but not at all! In fact it is the zebu (cow with huge horns and a kind of hump on the back) that created these steps to force through there.

This hiker!

This is the view on arrival at the bottom with the female lake (lake on which we camped)

Lake female ... We camped on the left edge of the lake water

Here's another lake that was next: the lake male. This lake is impossible to access and especially since it is considered sacred by the Fulani. When crops fail or there is illness in their village, the village chief and will make a significant sacrifice in this lake.
The color changes of the lake are awesome.

Start of second day with full of ants legs!

Zebus! Except that these were wild when the guide asked us to slowly to not excite Because it could be dangerous. And of course the only red tassel was bibi!
passage back to the Fulani village where they had left all our empty bottles and a four-quarter.
